Dubbed “a force of nature” and “a catalyst for action”, Chandra Brown is the Vice President of Oregon Iron Works, Inc. (OIW).  She is the primary point of contact for all Government and Community Relations and she markets on behalf of OIW in the Pacific Northwest and Washington, D.C.  In the past several years, she has helped secure over $40 million dollars in federal appropriations. She is the President and visionary behind OIW’s thriving subsidiary, United Streetcar, the only streetcar manufacturer in the U.S.  Chandra is a relationship builder and a communicator, ever-watching for the niche business that drives OIW.  The company is growing too, recently making headlines by landing a contract to develop North America’s first commercial ocean wave-energy system, with potential to add new employees to the nearly 400 they currently employ.  In addition, United Streetcar’s business is beginning to take off, with current orders for 13 streetcars, six from Portland and seven from Tucson, Arizona.  Join us for a special evening with this metals industry leader to be inspired, to network, to learn something new, and for the presentation of member service awards.
