Minnesota-Flexing Muscles on Capitol Hill

Martha Gibbons, Director Government Relations, SSAB, will join us on March 16th to give an insider’s view on how the steel industry works to influence Congress.
  • Do we have muscles?
  • How do we use them?
  • How can we make sure they stay strong?

Using examples from the trade and climate debates Martha will describe how the industry works in DC.

Martha has worked at all levels of government as an advocate for industry and as a regulator and as legislative staff. She worked for county government before moving to Ohio EPA where she spent ten years. After working as a lobbyist in Washington she moved to the Senate, and worked on energy and environmental issues.  Since returning to the private sector she has managed the state and federal portfolio for IPSCO and SSAB through the trade, energy and climate debates of the last decade.

Please join us on Tuesday, March 16th at 5:30 pm at the Radisson Hotel in Roseville, MN.
